The 16GB Raspberry Pi 5 has become $80 more expensive, bringing its international price to $385. The increase is the third price rise for this configuration during 2026, according to the supplied report.

The manufacturer cited sharply higher acquisition costs for high-density DRAM modules, including LPDDR4X memory. The adjustment also applies to 16GB Compute Module 5 products, whose reference prices have risen by $40. Lower-memory versions are not affected by the latest change.

The company described the price increase as temporary and said it intends to reverse it once international component prices stabilise.

At $385, before local taxes and shipping, the 16GB board is priced in a range that may lead buyers to compare it with complete x86 mini PCs. Its GPIO connections remain relevant for electronics and automation projects, while the report notes that 4GB and 8GB versions may be more affordable options for many everyday uses.
