Roblox, an online platform hosting thousands of user-created experiences ranging from role-playing games to survival simulators, is currently witnessing a surge in high-fidelity recreations of well-known video games. Amateur developers are leveraging artificial intelligence to replicate titles from other studios with remarkable speed and detail, leading to a growing accumulation of such projects on the site.

One notable example, titled PlayStation Experience, was uploaded by creator Redwing Works on October 26 and shared widely by YouTuber KreekCraft. This project reconstructs the PS4 interface from scratch within the Roblox engine, including the home screen, trophies, media gallery, and browser. From this menu, users can launch seven recreated games, such as The Simpsons: Hit & Run, Undertale, and Five Nights at Freddy's. According to Eurogamer, some of these recreations, particularly The Simpsons: Hit & Run, closely mirror their original versions despite containing minor bugs. It is important to note that PlayStation Experience does not emulate the Sony console; instead, both the interface and the games were built entirely within Roblox without running any original PS4 code.

Elden Ring is also among the titles being reproduced by creators on the platform. A project named Blox Ring incorporates several elements from FromSoftware's game, featuring explorable environments, boss battles, and cooperative combat modes. The rapid development of these complex projects is largely attributed to the use of AI assistants, specifically Claude Opus 5.5 developed by Anthropic. This model is noted for its decompilation capabilities, which allow developers to analyze compiled programs to understand their functionality in hours rather than months. These AI tools assist in writing scripts, debugging errors, and adapting game mechanics to the Roblox environment.

However, these recreations raise significant copyright concerns as they are unofficial ports created without authorization from rights holders. PlayStation Experience was removed from Roblox on October 28 after accumulating nearly 180,000 visits. While it remains unclear if the takedown resulted from a rights holder request or Roblox moderation, the creator quickly re-uploaded a nearly identical version renamed Rostation Experience. Although Roblox has offered a licensing platform since July 2025, expanded in September 2026, to allow creators to legally use known brands by sharing revenue, the ease of using AI to reconstruct games in days presents a growing challenge for publishers to control unauthorized copies.
