Amazon’s Kindle Click is a $35 Bluetooth remote that lets readers control compatible Kindle e-readers without tapping the screen. It works with Kindle models from 2024 and 2026, making it a lower-cost alternative to buying a new e-reader for physical page-turn buttons.
The handheld device has two large buttons for turning pages and two smaller buttons on its side for adjusting screen brightness. It charges through USB-C and comes with a wrist strap. The review describes the brightness controls as a useful extra, while noting that the button positions may initially seem counterintuitive: the upper button moves down the page, and the lower one moves back up.
The Click is also presented as a more streamlined option than many third-party page-turning remotes, which can use a clip attached to the screen and a separate handheld controller. That setup can obstruct part of the display and require charging multiple components. Amazon says the Click’s battery lasts for weeks, though the review notes that no more specific battery-life estimate is provided.
A remote can make reading more comfortable for people who find it difficult to hold an e-reader or repeatedly tap its screen. The reviewer recommends pairing it with a Kindle holder, since using a remote while holding the e-reader may be impractical.
Amazon’s separate page-turn cover costs $80 and requires one of the new Kindle Signature Edition models, which start at $250. The Click, by contrast, works with compatible Kindles from 2024 onward. Readers with older devices would need a newer model to use it.
