Bethesda has confirmed that its next Elder Scrolls game is titled The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel. The announcement came in a brief video showing the name emerging from sand, but the studio did not share a release window or in-game footage.

Sentinel is a major city in Hammerfell in Elder Scrolls lore, and the video has added to speculation that the region will be the game’s main setting. It may also hint at a story involving the ancient origins of the Elder Scrolls, though Bethesda has not confirmed those details.

The title had been circulating among fans for months. In August, Xbox CEO Asha Sharma referred to the game using a masked subtitle whose number of letters matched “Sentinel.”

Bethesda says it will be some time before it shares more information. Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier has also said the game is more than two years away.
