Capcom plans to continue taking Street Fighter beyond video games after the latest film drew strong interest from fans during its opening weekend. The company discussed the franchise’s expansion in an investor report, according to IGN, highlighting films, events and esports as areas for further development.

The developer said it remains committed to a strategy it calls “single content, multiple uses,” applying its game properties across different kinds of media and products. The report suggests the current film is part of a broader effort, though Capcom has not announced another Street Fighter movie.

The film’s initial appeal among dedicated fans comes despite a sharp reported drop in audience figures in recent weeks. The article also notes that the studios behind the movie have not commented on a sequel, while actor Olivier Richters, who plays Zangief, has said the cast signed contracts for three films.
