God of War Laufey will now launch on PlayStation 5 on May 20, 2027. Santa Monica Studio announced the delay, moving the game from its previously planned February 16 release date.
The studio said it made the change to complete the game’s finishing touches and further develop its potential. It also thanked fans for their patience and said it would share more updates soon.
Laufey stars Faye, Kratos’ wife, played by Deborah Ann Woll. A gameplay reveal earlier this year showed an approach that appears distinct from the recent God of War games, with a greater focus on acrobatic action.
