The gov.pt app has expanded its range of digital identification documents with the addition of the Corpo Nacional de Escutas (CNE) identification card. Scouts can now present their identification directly from a smartphone instead of carrying the physical card.
The digital version has the same validity as the physical document, allowing CNE members to use their phone to prove their scout identification.
To add the card, users must open the gov.pt app, select the option to add a new document, and choose the Corpo Nacional de Escutas card. They then need to authenticate through Chave Móvel Digital. Once validation is complete, the card becomes available in the application.
The addition is another step in the digitisation of identification documents in Portugal. The gov.pt app continues to bring different digital cards and official documents together in one place on the smartphone.
