HYPERyuki: Snowboard Syndicate will bring arcade-style snowboarding to Nintendo Switch 2 in early 2027. Wabisabi Games and Acclaim revealed the new version during the latest Nintendo Indie World Showcase, accompanied by a new trailer.

Inspired by classic extreme-sports games from the Y2K era, particularly SSX, HYPERyuki combines high-speed courses with jumps, tricks and rails designed to help players achieve high scores. Its tracks take inspiration from real-world locations and include challenges for players to overcome.

The game will support both handheld play and television-based sessions on Nintendo Switch 2. It will feature three main modes: Challenge, Race and Chill. Challenge tasks players with completing objectives, performing tricks, riding rails and collecting objects while competing for leaderboard positions.

Race focuses on reaching the finish line ahead of opponents controlled by the game or other players. Tricks can also help fill the boost meter and provide additional speed. Chill, meanwhile, is designed for free exploration, allowing players to take in the environments and look for secrets across the courses.

Multiplayer will include online matches for up to eight participants, as well as local split-screen play for groups sharing the same session. The roster will take an unconventional approach, with characters including a giant kaiju and a living baseball bat.

Developed by Mexican independent studio Wabisabi Games, also known for RKGK / Rakugaki, HYPERyuki: Snowboard Syndicate is intended to revive the spirit of classic action-sports games through a modern experience.

Alongside Nintendo Switch 2, the game is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PC via Steam in early 2027. A PC demo is also planned for next month.
