Intel may discontinue its Arc B580 graphics card as it shifts investment toward professional GPUs and products designed for artificial intelligence, according to a rumor attributed to leaker Haze. The report says the company is prioritizing areas it considers more commercially rewarding, including its Arc Pro B line and AI-processing hardware. Intel has not confirmed the claim.

The Arc B580 is part of the Battlemage generation, which has so far consisted of the B570 and B580. The two cards launched as alternatives to Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4060 and AMD’s Radeon RX 7600, offering 10 GB and 12 GB of video memory, respectively, while costing less at the time.

The B580 remains available, with the source reporting prices starting at R$2,400. It says the card costs about the same as the now-rare RTX 4060 and more than the RX 7600. Newer mainstream options, the RTX 5060 and RX 9060 XT, were reported to start at R$2,800, with most models above R$3,000, though both are faster.

The source also notes that the B580 can still deliver more than 60 frames per second in demanding games at 1080p with high graphics settings, based on tests published online. Performance can approach that of newer cards in some scenarios.

Intel initially outlined plans for four generations of graphics cards. Alchemist has been replaced by Battlemage, while Celestial and Druid were also included in the original roadmap. The third generation of Intel’s Xe architecture has appeared in integrated graphics for Core Ultra 300 laptop processors.
