Netflix is beginning to roll out an experimental “AI Discover” tab on its TV app, offering recommendations for shows and movies grouped around themes. The first feature includes options such as “Something Light,” “Family Movie Night” and “Quick Watches.”
Choosing a theme brings up matching recommendations. Viewers can also tell Netflix when they dislike a suggestion, and the app will remember that feedback.
Netflix says the feature uses a new intelligence layer designed to respond to what members say in real time and continue learning. The “Discover” tab is gradually becoming available in the US to members who use Netflix in English on supported TVs.
