Netflix is testing AI Discover, a new feature designed to help subscribers choose what to watch. The tool builds recommendations around a viewer’s current mood, such as wanting a comedy to unwind or a thriller for a more suspenseful evening, and includes video clips to preview its picks.
AI Discover also lets users respond to its suggestions. Subscribers can select “Something else” to get another set of recommendations, or use “Adjust your recommendations” to tell the system when a title is not a good fit. Netflix’s tool then uses that feedback to refine its suggestions and remove unwanted content from the viewer’s recommendations.
The test is currently limited to users in the United States who use the English-language TV app. The feature appears under a “Discover” tab marked with a red gem. Netflix is assessing the response before considering a wider rollout in Europe, according to Variety, which reported on the test on November 3, 2026.
