Samsung has added the Galaxy Buds On to its earbud lineup, following the Galaxy Buds4 and Galaxy Buds4 Pro. The new model departs from the brand’s previous designs with an open fit and a clip-like structure that rests on the ears instead of going into the ear canal.
The open design is intended to provide greater comfort and help users stay aware of their surroundings, though it offers less noise reduction. Each earbud weighs 6.65 grams and has an arched structure to support it on the ear. Samsung also highlights the clip-style fit as a feature that may be useful during exercise.
The Galaxy Buds On include gesture controls and voice access to artificial intelligence features. They can also connect with Samsung’s ecosystem, allowing users to manage music, notifications and other settings from the earbuds.
Samsung claims up to 9.5 hours of music playback on a single charge, with total battery life of up to 38 hours when using the charging case. The earbuds are set to become available in the United States in early November. Samsung has not confirmed a European launch.
