The end of SAPO Blogs is imminent as the Portuguese internet portal prepares to discontinue its blogging service on November 30. As previously announced in January, this date marks the final moment for the platform, after which all content hosted on the service will be permanently eliminated.

This decision means users will lose access to their blogs, including articles, photographs, and other materials published over the years. SAPO has stated clearly that once the shutdown occurs, it will be impossible to recover any information from the service.

To prevent data loss, SAPO recommends that users create a backup of their content before the closure date. An export tool is currently available, allowing users to generate and download a file containing all their published texts and images directly to their computers. Step-by-step instructions for this process are provided on the SAPO Blogs help page.

For those who have not used the service in some time and have lost their login credentials, SAPO offers an account recovery mechanism. Instructions for regaining access can be found on the dedicated data recovery page. Users with additional questions may consult the Help blog or contact the support team directly at sapoblogs@sapo.pt.

The platform has issued a strong warning: users wishing to preserve their published content should not delay the export process until the final days. From November 30 onwards, all data will be deleted without any possibility of recovery.
