The casting mystery around Two-Face in The Batman Part II continues, despite Sebastian Stan saying in an interview that he will play Harvey Dent. A fan theory now suggests Bryan Tyree Henry could instead take the role, with Stan potentially playing another Batman villain, Victor Zsasz. The studios have not confirmed either possibility.
The speculation stems from a post in which director Matt Reeves welcomed Henry to the sequel to 2022’s The Batman with the words, “Welcome to the party, man.” Some fans connected the phrase to Prince’s “Partyman,” a song featured in the soundtrack to Batman (1989). In the song’s video, Prince wears makeup reminiscent of the Joker, while people in the crowd wear masks covering half their faces.
Fans have interpreted those references as a possible hint that Henry will play Two-Face, a villain known for his disfigured face. Henry’s character has not been announced, and the theory remains unverified. Stan, meanwhile, has publicly said he is playing Harvey Dent, despite the alternative speculation.
The Batman Part II is scheduled to open on February 18, 2028. The production has faced four release delays, and filming was temporarily paused after Reeves stepped away for family reasons. The report says principal photography has resumed, with filmmaker Steven Soderbergh joining the team to help complete it. Reeves is expected to return for post-production.
