Apple Music is preparing to add Selfie Sing, a feature that lets users record videos of themselves singing along to music without switching to another app. It is expected to arrive with iOS 27.3, which is currently available in beta.

Selfie Sing builds on Apple Music’s Sing karaoke feature, introduced in 2022. As reported by MacRumors, users will be able to follow lyrics as they scroll on screen in real time while recording. The feature will work with a dedicated playlist rather than the service’s full music catalog.

The playlist includes songs such as Kelly Clarkson’s “Since U Been Gone,” One Direction’s “What Makes You Beautiful,” Madonna’s “Like a Virgin,” Britney Spears’ “...Baby One More Time” and Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5.”

To use Selfie Sing, users choose a song and turn on the camera. They can adjust their vocals with effects including Megaphone, Echo, Concert Hall and Studio, or change the volume, before saving or sharing the video.
