Geely Auto says the E2, its all-electric compact, passed one million worldwide sales in October 2026, around two years after its global launch on October 9, 2024. The company says that milestone equates to an average of one car sold every minute. The model is marketed as the Geely EX2 in some markets.
According to Geely, the E2 passed 10,000 sales 16 days after launch and 200,000 just over 200 days in. It reached 600,000 on its 536th day and surpassed 800,000 in July 2026. The company says it sold 465,775 units in 2025. Citing IHS Markit data, Geely also described it as the world’s best-selling car in the A and B segments that year, and the best-selling model in China across all segments.
The automaker points to sales results in several markets outside China. It says the E2 was Australia’s best-selling passenger car in its launch month, ranked first among electric vehicles in South Africa, and led Jordan’s all-electric vehicle rankings for three consecutive months. In Mexico, it was among the two best-selling electric cars in August and September 2026, according to local automotive industry data.
Portugal is among more than 30 markets where the E2 is available, across Europe, Latin America, Asia-Pacific, Africa and the Middle East. The company says the model received five stars under the 2026 Euro NCAP and ANCAP protocols in September 2026, making it one of the first compact cars to achieve that rating in both programmes. Its safety features include a reinforced body structure, seven airbags and Geely’s Battery Safety System.
For urban driving, the E2 has rear-wheel drive, an independent multi-link rear suspension and a 4.95-metre turning radius. Geely says its integrated 11-in-1 electric powertrain helps free up cabin space. The car seats five and has a 70-litre front storage compartment, a versatile boot, Flyme Auto infotainment and a 540-degree Transparent Chassis system that provides a wider view around the vehicle.
In Portugal, the E2 Pro costs €21,900 including VAT, excluding registration and transport costs. Dealership arrivals are planned for the final quarter of 2026. Geely lists a vehicle and battery warranty of eight years or 200,000 kilometres, as well as five years or 80,000 kilometres of scheduled maintenance.
