The Mitsubishi Lancer remains a sought-after sedan among Brazilian owners, combining reliability, comfort and performance at a price that was more accessible than rivals such as the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla. After arriving officially in Brazil in 2011, the model was discontinued locally in 2020, six years after production was nationalized in Catalão, Goiás.

To estimate its current equivalent price, the calculation used the Lancer GT from the 2011 model year, the version that had the greatest impact on the Brazilian market. It was equipped with a 2.0-liter 16-valve gasoline engine producing 160 horsepower and 20 kgf/m of torque.

The top-of-the-line version was officially launched in October 2011 for R$89,990 in its most complete configuration. Its equipment included bi-xenon headlights with automatic beam-height adjustment and headlamp washers, an electrochromic interior rearview mirror and the AFS adaptive front-lighting system.

Using the official inflation calculator from Brazil’s Central Bank and the IGP-M accumulated through September 2026, the original price corresponds to approximately R$235,223.38 today. The adjustment represents an inflation increase of 168.31% over the period.
