Skyone, a cloud and artificial intelligence company, launched its new corporate platform, Skyone Astro, on Wednesday, November 4. The service is designed to streamline AI adoption within businesses by aggregating more than 400 distinct AI models in a single location. Crucially, the platform operates in strict accordance with the specific governance regulations of each organization.
The new service aims to address common hurdles companies face when integrating AI technology, including investment limits, permission controls, security mechanisms, and data protection tools. Different departments, such as IT divisions and marketing teams, often require different models to meet their daily demands, a scenario Skyone Astro is built to accommodate.
Rennan Sanchez, CTO and co-founder of Skyone, highlighted that the platform's primary advantage is enabling technology usage that is coordinated with each business's specific objectives and criteria. He noted that the current challenge for companies is not merely providing AI tools, but creating conditions for them to be used in a coordinated, responsible, and aligned manner.
The diversity of Large Language Models (LLMs) available on the platform allows users to switch between open-source models, known for their cost-effectiveness, and legacy AIs previously utilized in specific systems. This flexibility supports various operational needs without forcing a one-size-fits-all approach.
Skyone Astro also serves as a solution to prevent "Shadow AI," a term describing the unauthorized use of AI models by employees without company knowledge or IT approval. Such unmonitored usage can lead to the exposure of confidential data or excessive token spending. To mitigate these risks, the platform centralizes technology administration, allowing administrators to set security guardrails against malicious prompts and strictly control access to specific models.
