The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time launches on Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5, 2026. Nintendo has rebuilt the 1998 Nintendo 64 game, while keeping its familiar journey through Hyrule and its distinct, connected areas rather than turning it into a continuous open world.

The digital edition costs €59.99 on the Nintendo eShop. Nintendo’s store lists the boxed version at €69.99, while Fnac also offers the physical game for €59.99, alongside €10 in loyalty credit and, while stocks last, an ocarina-shaped keychain and a coaster. Micromania lists it for €69.99 with a wallet and a set of game-themed stones. The first physical print run also includes textured metallic packaging, available while supplies last.

Micromania says pre-orders placed at stores affected by a burglary on October 17 are being transferred to nearby locations. Customers should check the collection location in the retailer’s instructions. The chain has also cancelled the late-night openings planned for the launch.

The remake follows Link from childhood into adulthood as he confronts Ganondorf, using an ocarina to travel through a story shaped by music and time. Nintendo has updated the game’s presentation and controls, including a freely rotating camera, a dedicated jump button and faster running. The original’s separate areas and transitions remain, and players will still travel across Hyrule on foot or on Epona rather than using additional teleport points that were considered during development.

A review included in the source gives the remake a 10/10 after around 30 hours of play, praising its visuals, 60-frames-per-second performance, orchestral arrangements and updated controls. The review also highlights a full French voice track and changes intended to make sections such as the Water Temple less frustrating.
