Apple’s first iOS 27.3 beta, released on November 3, prepares to add four languages to Siri AI: Traditional Chinese, Norwegian, Turkish and Vietnamese. They join English and the five languages introduced with iOS 27.2—French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish—bringing the planned total to ten.

Apple says the four new languages are not yet broadly available and are expected to roll out by the end of 2026. The beta also adds capabilities intended to let Siri handle more complex tasks, including managing email, organising files and controlling Safari features. Apple is also offering developers tools through App Intents to connect third-party apps with Siri AI.

The expansion does not resolve the main limitation for iPhone users in Portugal. Although Portuguese is supported, Siri AI remains unavailable on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch in the European Union amid regulatory issues related to the Digital Markets Act. Apple is working with European authorities but has not given a date for availability on affected devices.

Siri AI can already be used in Portuguese on compatible Macs and Apple Vision Pro through macOS 27.2 and visionOS 27.2. The final version of iOS 27.3 is expected in December 2026, but its release is not expected to make all Siri AI features immediately available on iPhone in Portugal.
